Have you ever imagined yourself putting on makeup and doing your own hairstyle on your wedding day? For that was the wedding of Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady. But it wasn't just that, no. übertop also arrived at the sacristy in jeans and a T-shirt and got dressed right there for her bridal moment, according to an interview recently given to Vogue magazine.
The wedding of Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady took place on February 26, 2009 at the Catholic church in Santa Monica, California. A few months later, in April, a second ceremony was held on a paradise beach in Costa Rica. An addendum worth remembering is that Costa Rica is the couple's place of refuge. They have had a house on Santa Teresa beach for many years and it is the same beach where their second wedding ceremony was held in secret in 2009.
There were never officially published photos of the two ceremonies. The images available are from posts eventually made on social networks by Gisele and Tom Braddy.
In the religious ceremony, Gisele wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress. And this was only revealed nine years later, through a photo posted by Gisele herself. The dress was a strapless design composed entirely of designed silk with a long train and jacquard lingerie-style bustier. In the second ceremony, which was more relaxed, on the beach in Costa Rica, the model also chose a Dolce & Gabbana, a tube model embroidered with sequins. And at that same ceremony, at another time, she also appears in a white satin dress, with a shorter veil and in a camisole style, which would have been signed by John Galliano. For both ceremonies, the top opted for loose hair.
The simplicity and discretion of the couple also prevailed in the choice of guests. In both celebrations, there was only the presence of family and close friends, in an option for totally discreet events, not to mention secret, very far from the spotlight. After the religious ceremony, a party was held for around 40 people at the couple's home.
At the ceremony in Costa Rica, there were around 25 guests, including players from Tom Braddy's team at the time, the New England Patriots. The celebrations began with dinner at the Milarepa hotel, which faces the sea. The resort's press office informed that the place chosen for the celebration combined luxury and simplicity in the middle of a coastal paradise.
It is clear that the usual simplicity and discretion of the model's life were also decisive for this very special moment. Gisele and Tom Braddy opted for discreet, intimate celebrations, which nevertheless remained charming and with the characteristic glamor of such a stunning couple.
